Xena will only be at the Ember Court when Iven is present, and Iven will only attend if you select "Lost Chalice Band" as your Entertainment option - if you do, the accompanying Events are the Lost Chalice Band instruments one (I don't remember the name of the actual event itself, but it's the one where you find three lost instruments and return them to the three band members so they can play) and the Iven Dance Class one (again, not the actual name).

The redeeming quality of this event, though, is that when you finish the event, you can actually see Iven and Zena dancing for the remainder of your party, in the middle of the throng of floaty dancers at the center of your Court! Even better, they will occasionally crash into the other floaty dancers, with an audible "crash" and a little puff of smoke.

The buttons and what they do are not at all clear regarding which of his quotations/sentiments they should be matched with. You comply, and thus begins IMO the worst, most confusing to figure out event in Ember Court (and I love Ember Court). But then he says it won't feel right if you're not a Venthyr, or something along those lines, and he ~a bit creepily~ asks if he can turn you "into Zena's likeness" while you teach him. In the Iven Dance Class event, Iven tells the player that he sucks at dancing, which is upsetting to him because he's totally into this chick Zena and wants to dance with her, but is afraid he will embarass himself and she won't be into him.
